download

You can download a pre alpha version of causetree application and editor at the bottom of this page.
But please note that it should only give you an idea of how to develop 3D applications with causetree.
Especially the editor is hardly usable in this early form!

! This is just a preview to get a caustree base experience !
!The editor is unfortunately not there yet, but in the next few days also downloadable!

You can extract the zip file to a desired directory.
It would make sense to save it under '%user%/documents/perception'. A 'causetree' directory is created.
(Currently only executable in Windows)
Please keep in mind that one time resale or redistribution of the media files used in the examples, e.g. 3D models or sounds is prohibited. They serve only as an example and remain the property of the author!
what techniques were used in the development of causetree?
I would like to mention and thank the Aviatrix3D team for their Java scenegraph implementation. It seems that Aviatrix3D is unfortunately no longer being developed, but there is still enough left over to be incorporated into causetree. Certainly, there will be a switch to the Vulcan API in the next few years, but OpenGL still offers enough technology that can be used. The application is developed in Java with Bndtools (enroute OSGI). The editor is based on eclipse e4 GEF5-FX-MVC with also OSGI services.
